Stopping Diabetes Program - Your one year program begins with a 12-day residential experience which means you will come to one of our medically supervised Centers (either Sedona, Arizona or Sulphur, Oklahoma) to immerse yourself for 12 days. During this time, we will help you break your current diabetes pattern and provide you the most effective training and lifestyle skills to begin stopping the progression of your diabetes and perhaps even reverse it.
Your 12-day experience will include:
-
Six physician consultations
-
Lab work (complete blood chemistry panel, HA1C, cholesterol, lipid panel, serum insulin etc.)
- Nutrition consultations and action plan
- Personal fitness consultation and prescription
- Group discussion sessions
- Group workshops
- Private accommodations
- Delicious meals
- Therapeutic Spa services (available a la carte)
12 month follow up: Your success is our priority. The Stopping Diabetes Program also features a year follow up program designed to provide you with the confidence and accountability to succeed back at home.
-
Health Coaching. Just a phone call away, your health coach will serve ready and able to guide you through rough stretches along the way. Each month you will have a scheduled time to participate in a health coaching session specifically for your 12-day program group. During this time you can speak with your coach about your progress, possible set backs and to evaluate your personal goals. You can also share what is working for you and listen to others who have solved problems you may be facing.
- Staying Connected. On the first Monday after your 12-day residential stay, you will begin a special 8 part continued learning series. For the next eight weeks, every Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. (CST), members of the Stopping Diabetes Program care team will host a conference call presentation for your continued success. Each call will allow plenty of time for a question and answer period. In addition, every third Tuesday of each month for a full year, you will receive monthly conference call presentations to stay abreast of the latest information on advances in lifestyle medicine for diabetes treatment.
