Dr Seale

Dr. Stuart A. Seale, M.D., Diplomate ABFP

Dr. Stuart A. Seale is the medical director, lifestyle educator, and staff physician for the Stopping Diabetes Program™ in Sedona.  He formerly served in similar positions at the Lifestyle Center of America's Sulphur, Oklahoma campus.  Dr. Seale graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1979, and subsequently completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri, Columbia.  He has been Family Practice Board Certified since 1983.  He was in private medical practice for 21 years in Springfield, Missouri and has expertise in treating metabolic syndrome (insulin resistance, syndrome X), Type 2 diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and triglycerides, cardiovascular disease, and high blood pressure. 

 

Sandra Bagge, Assistant to Medical Director

As a lifestyle coach with over 15 years of experience, Sandra helps individuals and families transition into healthier living.  She has expertise in cooking instruction, menu planning and shopping, and kitchen organization.  Sandra graduated from Colorado State University in 1975. She worked as a communications specialist in the CSU Public Relations office for 12 years before starting her own landscape consulting business specializing in organic herb and vegetable gardens. She is an expert bread baker, and has a passion for creating wholesome, family-friendly recipes and teaching practical solutions to optimize a healthy lifestyle.

Sid Lloyd

Sid Lloyd, President & CEO

Sid Lloyd currently oversees the Stopping Diabetes Program™ in Sedona.  He also serves as President and CEO of Ardmore Institute of Health the non-profit parent organization of Lifestyle Center of America's (LCA) Stopping Diabetes Program for both Arizona and Oklahoma.  Prior to joining LCA, Sid was a marketing executive at a Fortune 500 technology company. His diverse background also includes sales, systems engineering, program management and teaching secondary education.  Sid spent a year of college studying at a small hospital in Bangladesh working in the surgical clinic. It was there that he learned the value of health education and a healthy lifestyle.

 

Cathy Johnson

Cathy Johnson, B.S., R.D., Certified Diabetic Educator

Cathy received a bachelor of science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  She completed a certificate in Weight Management in 2002, became certified as a diabetes educator in 2003, and completed a certificate in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in 2006.  Cathy has ten years of nutrition counseling experience in the community and clinical settings.  She has teaching experience at Northern Arizona University, and is a member of the American Dietetic Association, The American Association for Diabetes Educators, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

 

Wally Reule, B.S., MBA, Certified Fitness Trainer, Adj. Professor at NAU

Wally Reule is the owner of SedonaFit, a state of the art fitness and wellness center. He has been a health and fitness professional for nearly 30 years, earning both his BS and MBA from Michigan State University, and is a personal fitness trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise. Formerly, Wally directed the operations of the Fitness Formula Health Clubs in Chicago, including oversight of medical affiliations with Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Rehab Institute of Chicago, and Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital.

Linda Brinegar

Linda Brinegar, Windcrest Restaurant Director, LCA/Sulphur Campus

Creating beautiful and healthy food has been Linda Brinegar's passion for more than 15 years. Following in her mother's footsteps, Linda considers it an honor to provide thousands of individuals the pleasure and benefit of delicious, health-restoring plant-based cooking. A self-taught chef, Linda has extensive leadership experience in educational and medical facility food service and takes great pride in preparing healthy food that also looks beautiful and inviting.  Linda spends much of her time researching and creating gourmet recipes for Lifestyle Center of America's Stopping Diabetes Program™.

 

Christopher Smith, Chef de Cuisine, Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa

Chef Christopher Smith studied at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute – Le Cordon Bleu.  It was there that he developed his specialty in Classical French cuisine.  As the former executive chef at Robert’s Creekside in Sedona, Christopher created many new recipes, designing a menu that appealed to the restaurant’s international clientele.  He also served there as a restaurant consultant. Christopher has mastered Reds’ signature American dishes while adding delicious and healthy spa cuisine to his repertoire in the restaurant’s exhibition kitchen.

Katherine Meyer Katherine Meyer, LMSW

Katherine Meyer is a Licensed Master Social Worker, working in both the health and behavioral health fields. She obtained her Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Katherine is experienced in both hospital and outpatient therapy using cognitive behavioral techniques.
